Coffee is expensive these days! That's why whenever we pass by a Capital One cafe, we get excited because it's 50% off handcraft drinks if you have a Capital One credit card.
In the Bay Area, the ones I know about are at:
Westfield Valley Fair Mall
Downtown Walnut Creek
Inside the cafe is a Peet's Coffee, where you can order your drinks and snacks. There's plenty of seating inside, and also ATMs and people on standby to help you with any banking needs. That's kind of random while you're stopping for some coffee, but hey, if you need it, it's there! These cafes are a cool space and often under-utilized, as in not many customers are there usually. There's nice areas for working and even small and big conference rooms. If I lived near one, I would totally go there to work!
Honestly, I think it's a smart idea for Capital One to invest in these to build community and offer a place for people to hang out and work, while exposing people to their brand and services. I found out they even have workshops / events at their cafes to educate people on finances and offer Money & Life mentors - cool!
In the meantime, I'm all about the half priced coffee. Also one time we went and then forgot to bring the actual Capital One card (*face palm*), so remember to bring that.
Here's more details about the cafes and you can find the nearest one near you.
