As I had written earlier this summer, State Street Market in Los Altos is overhauling the food options in its food hall and bringing in yummy new options. For example, Orenchi opened in the food hall with its ramen and desserts from Ikuka.
Today was the quadruple ribbon cutting for FOUR new places to join State Street Market and the release of the new Los Altos Magazine from the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce.
Next up in the line-up to open is Bibo's NY Pizza! It was originally in Willow Glen in San Jose, and my hubby and his good friend LOVE this place. They thought it was the best pizza in the bay and would drive all the way over there and share a whole pizza. So we're excited that they opened up in a location in the peninsula in Los Altos.
This location has pizza + pasta, and it's actually called Bibo's Pizza & Pasta. Here's the menu. I had a slice of cheese pizza tonight and it tasted pretty dang good. So crispy and thin, even though it's seemingly simple toppings. I'll have to try the other flavors too.
The Good Salad is another new place to recently open in the food hall. I didn't get a chance to try it yet but looking at the reviews, it looks pretty hot and a crowd-favorite already! As the name implies, it has salads and uses an array of fresh ingredients. I have to admit the salads in the pictures look pretty hearty and delicious. Menu is here.
Ikuka has pretty fancy desserts and pastries (delicate-looking is the phrase that comes to mind), which have been offered in a display case in Orenchi, also have their own stall now. Ikuka is run by Miyuki Ozawa, who is the daughter of Kuniko Ozawa, who owns Orenchi and Sumika (another one of our Los Altos faves!).
Murdoch's will also be re-opening as well as a returning vendor in the food hall.
The other options in State Street Market are The Little Blue Door, Konjoe Burger, Little Sky Bakery, and The Penny Ice Creamery (which replaced Tin Pot Creamery). Overall, a strong lineup of food - stop by for a bite!
