At Vasona Lake County Park in Los Gatos, families can ride the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad ride around the park. It's a short ride but fun, especially for kiddos who love trains.
Afterwards, you can ride the carousel too!
There's also a snack stand where you can get cold drinks, treats, and snow cones!
It's very affordable and here's the pricing. Kids under 3 are free!
It was pretty sweltering that day - we went on a Saturday midday in the the summer when the temperature was in the high 80s. The line wasn't too long at all for either ride. We waited maybe 10 mins for the train, but the ticket attendant said maybe the wait can take 20 mins. Bring water!
There's a convenient parking lot and bathrooms at Oak Meadow Park that's very close to where the railroad is. Note that there is a car entrance fee to the park though.
After we were done with the rides, we headed over to check out the lake and the rest of the beautiful park!
