Books Inc. Warehouse Sale Aug 2023 in Mountain View

Last weekend on Aug 26-27, 2023, there was a big warehouse sale (and perhaps the first ever) for Books Inc. in Mountain View!

I've heard Books Inc hold these sales in their San Francisco location, but I haven't seen it in Mountain View until this time! We found out about it by strolling Castro Street the Friday before, and came back the next day bright and early at 9:55am on Saturday morning.

They had already setup boxes of sale books outside the store on the street. They were marked with one of 3 colored dot stickers - green ($5), red ($7), and blue ($10). People were rummaging through them and filling their bags with books! We were unprepared and only had our hands to carry them. Our little one quickly took a liking to certain books, and ignored others we put in front of him.

At 10am, the store opened and all the eager book lovers filed into the store to head to the back of the store for more deals! There were lots of kids books on sale. We got a good handful of books - animal books, truck books, box sets, and some gifts! We checked out before the long line started forming and we got our whole haul for less than $50. Great deal! I hope they hold this again in Mountain View, and I will try to post about it before the event so you can attend!

In the meantime, support small businesses like Books Inc. :) They have locations all over the Bay including Palo Alto, Campbell, SFO airport, SF, Berkeley, Alameda, and more. (Sadly their location in downtown Burlingame closed.)
