We like to come for a weekend brunch at Yin Ji Chang Fen for a cozy meal of hot porridge and rice noodle rolls, called chang fen!

It's best to come right when it opens at 10:30am so you get a table and don't need to wait.

The tables fill up quickly! Order and then your food comes promptly! They have a wide range of different flavors for chang fen, porridge, and other dim sum items. Menu snapshot below, each rice noodle roll is about $8-10 each.

Our favorites are the dough stick rice noodle roll (like a Chinese donut inside), shrimp, and beef noodle rolls. The kids like the shrimp inside the rolls. And there's some veggies tucked in there too.

Then we usually share a bowl or two of fish porridge, mmm so warm in my belly! We've tried the other dim sum dishes too and they're okay, definitely the above items are our favorites.
I like this place because it's a different type of food than a typical American brunch or dim sum place for a weekend morning meal.
They have locations throughout the Bay in Pleasanton, Milpitas, Berkeley, and Concord. Enjoy!
