Fluffiest, Softest Cheesecake You'll Ever Eat from J.M. Rosen's Cheesecakes Wholesale factory in Petaluma

I thought I've had a lot of good cheesecake in my life, but this is hands down the BEST cheesecake I've ever had. Period!

So they technically don't have a storefront for the public. It's a wholesale bakery in Petaluma that sells to markets and restaurants, but they luckily don't turn away customers who show up at this factory.

There's no signage and it's an unmarked building. Go to the address here. There were people busy making cheesecakes but luckily someone came to help me and told me about what cakes they had available. I went for the 6" (or is it 8"?) plain cheesecake and it was imperfect on the top, so it was slightly discounted (came out to be $25 - the price is very reasonable!!).

Sorry I don't have a better picture of it unwrapped, I was too busy indulging in it.

How would I describe the taste? Fluffy, moist, soft, rich, but actually not too sweet. Afterwards I didn't feel like I needed to drink anything. Every bite makes me so happy and I scrape all the bits off my plate to waste nothing. That's how good it is.

After eating one slice, I knew I had to plan how to get this cheesecake again. I looked up their website which you could order from there directly. You could also find it at markets and restaurants in California listed here. Notably, you could find it at some Whole Foods locations in the bakery (I had no idea this whole time!) or at Amici's pizza or House of Prime Rib. These would be closer than driving all the way to Petaluma but of course more expensive.

I'm waiting for a special occasion where I can bring one of these cheesecakes to it, where it will knock people's socks off! 😋 Until then, I will happily enjoy the rest of my cheesecake myself.

Update: I froze some of the cheesecake because we couldn't finish all of it at once, and defrosting it tastes just as good! Also I ate it with some stewed berries (frozen blueberries on the stovetop + some arrowroot powder) generously drizzled on top and it was soo good!! Highly recommend this combo!
