Good Eggs Bay Area: unique artisnal grocery items delivered to your door

I've heard of Good Eggs before and seen their delivery trucks around town, but never tried them out until now! And they're great!!

Download the app and you can browse what's available for delivery to your zip code. You don't have to create an account unless you want to save the items in your cart or checkout.

I spent quite a long time browsing the app and all the categories. I mean ALL the categories! I may have looked through every single item in their inventory lol. There are so many unique local finds from small brands in the Bay Area and across the US, with fresh produce and meat/seafood from local sources too! Love it.

What surprised me was that you can order for delivery that day or schedule for a future day. Same day delivery on some of these items is pretty impressive. I don't know how they logistically gather all those items so quickly and efficiently, because some of those items come from all over the Bay including some bakeries in SF.

Anyhow, after lots of meticulous browsing 😋 I ordered my first haul and here it is!

I got blueberries from forbidden fruit orchards, peanut butter from Spread the Love, almond butter from Enzo's table, Landsea Gomasio for sprinkling on dishes, a sour cherry spread for some cookies we will be making, dashi from Japan, Bayview Pasta fresh pasta (green fettuccini and a squid ink one - cool!), pop tarts from a black Jet baking company (nostalgia!), and some fresh produce like kiwis, CA grown avocados and easy peel seedless tangerines. Here are the close-ups:

I tried to focus on getting things that I couldn't order anywhere else, and I favorited a bunch of things in the app for a future order too. Oh forgot to mention I got some raw walnuts from a specialty source focused on walnuts too.

I like how they include a description of the source of the product (e.g. the small business owner or farmer) and you can browse other products by that same source. In general, I discovered many small business owners from them that are very passionate about their craft/products!

Other things to know: they have a membership too for cheaper service fees but I haven't signed up for that yet. They also have a deals section where some produce and pantry items are on sale! And they have an extensive meals section with ready made foods from their Good Eggs Kitchen (including meal kits that you can cook).

Anyhow, I'm so excited to try all the things I bought. Of the things we've tried so far, we have enjoyed like the fruit and pop tarts, and wow the blueberries are sweet! ❤️

They also have a referral program, so here's a link for $45 off your first order!
