Half Off Sushi at 4pm at Suruki Supermarket in San Mateo

Each day one hour before closing time (at 4pm), Suruki Supermarket in downtown San Mateo has cooked foods and sushi on sale for 50% off!! I repeat, fifty percent off!

It's such a steal of a deal. And an easy way to put dinner on the table for a very cheap price. The hardest part is waiting in line with anticipation! Some people start lining up at 3pm, but mostly the line out the door starts around 3:30pm. We got there around 3:45pm and the line was already several stores down the block.

At 4pm, a store worker lets a couple people in at a time. By the time we went in, there wasn't too many options left, but we were able to get some teriyaki dishes and raw tuna - a plenty amount of food.

And then 10-15 mins later, the shelves are bare lol.

Here is some of what we got, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of everything before my family dug into the food 😆.

As you can see, the teriyaki dishes are regularly priced at $9 so the half off price is less than $5 each!! Where else can you find a deal like that these days?? We did get some seaweed salad as well, but those are not half off.

Here's our receipt! So much food for under $35! We definitely had leftovers after dinner. The seaweed salad went well with the food, so glad we got that.
