Over the weekend, we had lunch at iChina in Valley Fair Mall. I've been wanting to try it for a long time and finally here was our chance! Also no wait to get in! It is sooo fancy and gorgeous inside. Definitely for a nice occasion and when you want to splurge. Very opulent inside.

They also apparently have tea tasting experiences and also an afternoon tea set which looked really pretty!

We got seated in this cozy back corner booth. There's also a view outside of the courtyard (overlooking Eataly, Maestro's, Cheesecake Factory, Salt and Straw).

They have seating for larger parties too:

Here's the menu, some dim sum dishes (with a twist), some plates for family style sharing, noodles and rice dishes as well. The small eats are smaller (3 pieces of dim sum per order), but I think these are the prices expected at a fancy place. Service was very good too.

If you aren't sure which dim sum to try, you could get the steamed dim sum collection (3 of their steamed dim sum pieces like har gaw, siu mai, chai dumpling) or the crispy dim sum collection. The waiter said the roasted duck + pumpking dumpling was one of their specialities.
Here's what we ordered:

The food was good and our bill was $150 or something for 3 of us. I would say, I like the ambience and decor best, and the food is good too. I liked the har gow and the dumplings the most out of the dishes we ordered. Everything seemed very delicately and carefully handcrafted, and was unique (like the rice roll noodles). Maybe I'm more of a mom and pop hole-in-the-wall type of gal, but I kind of like the traditional siu mai better. Regardless though, I do think it was a fun experience to come try, and would recommend coming here to see for yourself!
