Morning Coffee and Pastry at 1 Oz Coffee in Mountain View

We woke up early this morning and that meant we had extra time to treat ourselves to a pastry and coffee at 1 Oz Coffee on Castro Street in Mountain View.

It is a cute and cozy little coffee shop with some indoor and outdoor seating. Looks like there's a bunch of people who work nearby stopping by for a drink. Here's the menu:

I admit I'm not a big coffee drinker so I can't speak from firsthand experience, but my hubby had the single origin espresso from Costa Rica and said it was really good. They also serve it with a small shot glass of tonic water to cleanse your palette before drinking your espresso. Fancy!

It feels like a very authentic and high quality coffee place where they really know their craft. Today their special drink was an oat cookie butter cappuccino - interesting flavor!

The real reason why I like going to coffee shops is because of the pastries 😛 and here they have some homemade pastries and ones from neighbor bakehouse in SF (made fresh daily).

We got the ube croissant which was unique and yummy and the multigrain croissant (good too, and seems healthier because of all the seeds on it?!).

Overall it was a brief moment of peace and calm to start our day! Highly recommend stopping by!

As a bonus, it's founded by a mom Yulia Kolchanova who really loves coffee, people, art, and delicious food. Her passion really shines through in this little store. And there's actually 3 locations (including in Santa Clara and Huntington Beach) and a mobile cart too that you can request for catering.
