The most delicious fruits you will ever taste. Delivered to your doorstep.
If I could wait outside my door for my fruit box every Thursday afternoon, I would. That's how excited I am for this box and is the highlight of my week! I think to myself, "Is it Thursday yet??"
Fruitqueen is a new biz based in SF that started earlier this year amongst 3 friends who love fruit. Each week, they connect with farmers locally and across California to seek out hard to find fruits that are in peak season and SO delicious.

They will pack about 4-5 varieties of fruit in a box that they want to highlight each week. They are also very conscious about the farms these fruits came from, who they're supporting, and wanting to highlight the stories behind where these delicious fruits came from.

Enjoying any fruit from a fruitqueen box is like an adventure. They may look like ordinary fruit, but it's bursting with flavor. We had gooseberries in our first box and frankly we never buy gooseberries, so I feel like it's a fun way to get out of your regular routine of whatever fruits you usually buy at the store. Let me also add that sadly grocery store fruit just won't taste the same anymore. They honestly don't have as much flavor as I used to think.

The box also includes a note about its contents and a link to "fruit notes" which is a blogpost online that dives into more detail about what you're getting. You can check out the blog for yourself.
These notes are like a love letter for each type of fruit in your box. It explains the amazing story behind each type, and it gives you so much more appreciation for the fruit you're eating, where it came from, who grew it. It really does add to the "experience" of the fruit box. On the weeks I didn't order a box, reading the notes on the blog can give you real FOMO for what you're missing out on! Lol
fruitqueen offers different options on their site: a standard fruitqueen box, a smaller babyqueen box, and flats of specific fruits if you really love one kind. Now that it's right before the holidays, they also offered a holiday special box and a citrus lover box too.
My holiday box!

In a matter of months, fruitqueen has become so popular. These boxes sell out!! Right now everything is sold out except for the dad hat haha.

I'm so happy they're doing so well. You can really feel (and taste) the passion that goes into curating the box; and even the tender care and pride that these farmers have in growing the fruit. There's a lot of love in what they're offering and creating such a special experience for customers every week. Needless to say, I'm a fan.
If you enjoy good fruit (who doesn't??) check out their site for more info: fruitqueen. Pickup of your box from SF is free while delivery to a Bay Area location is $10.
Shout out to Neon for how I discovered fruitqueen! 👋
If you get a fruit box then you will need a veggie box as well! Check out veggie CSA box for delivery here - highly recommend for the quality and quantity at a reasonable price point!
