Howie's Artisan Pizza at Town and Country village in Palo Alto has these take home pizza kits (dough balls, sauce, cheese, and toppings) that you can purchase to make pizza at home! Fun way to eat / cook at home while making it less boring! 😛
You can order online and pickup, or just go in the store to order. Under the Provisions section of the menu, they have pasta, pasta sauce, pizza kits, salad dressing, and cookie dough!
The pizza kit is $39 and comes with 3 dough balls, pizza sauce, cheese (comes in slices interestingly enough), and choice of two toppings. Each additional topping is $4. We chose pepperoni and sausage and mushroom.
Here's how it turned out! We made a sausage and fennel pizza and then a pepperoni and mushroom one. Both were yummy and we had leftover slices and an extra dough ball too! So much food!
For cooking instructions, you can ask them when you pick up the kit. We found that cooking at a higher temp resulted in a better crust.
I recommend trying out the pizza kit! Whole Foods sadly doesn't have the pizza dough balls anymore, but you can get them at Trader Joe's. You still need to get the sauce, cheese, and ingredients though, so the Howie's pizza kit is like in an easy bundle and restaurant quality!
