If you're in the Campbell area from my previous posts, stop by for lunch at Aqui Cali-Mex in their downtown area.
I remember going to the Cupertino location of this restaurant years ago and being impressed with their wide variety of dishes that were also reasonably priced. I've been meaning to come back and finally came across the chance to! They did not disappoint!
Many dishes are under $20 and for a sizable portion, with chef specials on their board, and speciality drinks. Here's their full menu. They also have a kid's menu too.
The drinks look refreshing!
The taquitos jumped out at me, so I ordered the filet mignon taquitos. The rice + beans + avocado + sauce that it came with were very flavorful. I don't know if I tasted the filet mignon inside lol, shrug, maybe I'll try the chicken taquitos one next time. Regardless, I happily ate them and dunked them in the sauces.
They have a range of sauces that you can self-serve with different spiciness levels.
The interior is quite big, lots of open seating and there's a bar as well. You could also sit outside too.
For yummy, casual food that's family-friendly and doesn't break the bank, I would come back!
They also have multiple locations throughout the Bay - in downtown Campbell, downtown Willow Glen, Cupertino, Blossom Valley, and San Jose.
