You have to try Hot Boi Chili Oil

I'm passionate about this chili oil and it's the best one out there that we've found. Every other chili oil after this one has been disappointing, so I feel sad that our big stash is now almost gone. It's time to re-order! We literally ordered 10 bottles last time and I gave them out for every birthday gift I could.

Bonus points for the fact that it's a local Bay Area brand!

I actually first discovered it during a farmer's CSA box from Spade & Plow, a local farm where you could get a box of veggies + fruits shipped to you each week. There was an option to add add-ons from other local vendors, so that's how I first stumbled across Hot Boi Chili Oil. And that's how our life changed. :)

The Spade & Plow CSA box is sadly no more now, they discontinued the service. But I found that if your order directly from the Hot Boi Chili Oil site, you can get a bundle of 5 bottles for a discounted price. And also they have the Fire flavor available there too, so of course we had to try that.

Honestly, I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food, so the fire was tooo spicy for me. My mouth was literally burning. So I just love the original flavor and actually I don't find it too spicy. The best part of the chili oil is that it has these crunchy garlic pieces in it when you eat it. Plus it goes great on anything - particularly dumplings or noodles or on anything you find lacking in flavor (most of my cooking).

Here's what the original flavor bottle reads on the side:

And then the ingredients on the other side if you're curious:

At the time of this post, a single 8 oz jar is $15, but if you buy the 5-pack bundle, it is $63, so about $12.60 a bottle. You could either order for delivery or pick it up at their location in San Jose.

Also sometimes they may occasionally sell out, but then the website will let you know when a new batch is coming! Hope it's in stock when you check.

Here's the link and apologies in advance if you get addicted. :P
